Lazio to lock down Strakosha

Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha has attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City, but the Biancocelesti want to secure him to a new contract.

His current deal is due to expire in June 2022, earning €1.2m per season, but he can almost double that to €2m until June 2025, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 25-year-old joined the Lazio youth academy in 2012 and was brought into the first team by coach Simone Inzaghi, who had already worked with him in the early days.

Albania international Strakosha has since become the undoubted number one choice at Lazio.
