Italy coach Roberto Mancini describes the greatest victories of his career, which as a player was at Sampdoria, and on the bench for Manchester City.

Mancio spoke to Il Sole 24 Ore newspaper and looked back over the trophies that marked his life in football.

“As a coach, the Premier League with Manchester City in 2012. It’s always important for an Italian coach to win abroad, but it was also a very special way to win the title.

“We completed a comeback at the last second of the last game of the season.”

As for his days on the pitch, Mancini by-passed the success with Sven Goran Eriksson’s Lazio and went old school.

“Without the slightest doubt, the Scudetto won with Sampdoria. It was an impossible target to even think about, but I think it’d also be impossible to repeat.”
