Agent Marco Naletilic has claimed Juventus loanee Marko Pjaca can ‘be very useful’ for the Old Lady in the future.
The Croatian suffered a cruciate ligament injury in 2017 and has been struggling to bounce back at the Allianz Stadium and was loaned out to Anderlecht in January on a six-month deal with an option of a further year beyond this summer.
“He was happy to play for this team. He went straight into the side and the coach gave him more and more minutes,” Naletilic told TuttoJuve.com. “Unfortunately, he didn’t start the last game due to a slight injury.
“Then the COVID-19 pandemic broke out and we all know how it turned out. I had seen him fit, both physically and mentally.”
Pjaca was linked with a move away from Juventus last summer but ended up going on a third loan spell since his arrival from Dinamo Zagreb in 2016.
Naletilic has revealed that Pjaca must agree on staying at Anderlecht beyond the summer and claimed he could be of use for the Bianconeri in the future.
“It was essential not to leave Juventus in the summer. It was the correct decision; the club allowed the boy to fully recover from his injury. He has great respect for the club that took care of him and has always treated him very well.
“Then in January, we finally found this solution. Marko has yet another year on loan with Anderlecht, to continue there must be a mutual agreement between both parties.
“The team who sign a play with this formula are usually entitled to continue the loan, but we have inserted a clause that allows him to have a say.
“In addition, the opinion of Juventus must be taken into consideration. Let’s see what will happen, surely, there will be a meeting to decide his future.
“Marko is still very young; everything will depend on how he behaves on the pitch and how long it will take to get back to doing well. If he can return to the same level he showed a few years ago, he could certainly be very useful for Juventus.”
Pjaca’s current deal with the Bianconeri expires in June 2023 and he has previously gained experience on loan at Schalke 04 and Fiorentina.
