Torino defender Armando Izzo is auctioning off his debut Italy jersey, with all the proceeds going to families struggling with the coronavirus pandemic.

The Granata player, who was born and raised in one of the most deprived areas of Naples, is taking part in the auction organised by fellow Neapolitans Ciro Ferrara, Fabio and Paolo Cannavaro.

This money will go to families in Naples who are suffering financially due to the shutdown.

“I am donating a jersey that means a lot to me. The objective is to help those families who are least equipped to deal with the damage that coronavirus is doing,” said Izzo on his Instagram.

The shirt is the one Izzo wore on his senior Italy debut in March 2019 against Liechtenstein.
