Leao joined Milan just after his 20th birthday last August and, after two goals in 21 appearances this season, takes ‘great pride’ from representing the club.

“It all happened very quickly,” he said during an Instagram Live session with artist Anyfa.

“I never thought that, at 20 years of age, I’d be at club with such a great history, which has won seven European Cups.

“Being able to represent Milan at my age is a great pride.”

The Portugal Under-21 striker then discussed his relationship with Ibrahimovic.

“If you’re not mentally strong, things become complicated. He has a strong personality, he’s played with some great players and he has a great history behind him.

“He’s one person in training but completely different in games. He’s very competitive. He’s an arrogant player, but in the positive sense of the word because he always wants to win.

“He’s someone who can help me a lot from a footballing perspective. He is very close to me in training and has been since he came here.

“He gives me a lot of advice, he tells me I can do much better and that I have the potential to become a reference point for Milan.”
