Jeremie Boga says Sassuolo are the ‘perfect’ club for him but will never forget his time at Chelsea, which ‘will remain with me for a lifetime’.
Chelsea have a €15m buyback option for Boga, who has also been linked with the likes of Napoli and Barcelona, but the French attacker made it clear he was committed to Sassuolo.
“Sassuolo are the perfect project for me,” he said on Instagram.
“I felt that everyone wanted me: from the coach and board to the players.
“I was shy at the beginning and, when I arrived, I spoke very little. This season has gone better because I’ve started speaking Italian.
“The fans have always made me feel at home. When I dribble, I hear their voices and I like it very much.
“De Zerbi’s very important to me, he’s helped me grow a lot. I think I can still do a lot with him and grow even more.”
The 23-year-old was then asked who his favourite player was.
“Hazard because he does things with the ball that no-one else in the world can do. Eden’s my favourite player.
“Chelsea was a beautiful experience. I grew up there and was coached by some excellent people.
“I then got to train with some incredible players like Hazard and Drogba. It’s an experience that will remain with me for a lifetime.”
