Milan are definitively giving up on Manchester United defender Nemanja Matic after director Zvonimir Boban left the club.

The 31-year-old’s current contract is due to expire in June 2021 and United activated an option to extend last month.

The Rossoneri had been trying to get Matic to leave as a free agent, but Boban was in control of those negotiations.

With Boban sacked, Calciomercato.com maintain the interest in Matic has also been abandoned entirely.
