Krunic has been out with injury since the start of February but revealed he has recovered and looks forward to resuming play after the forced break.

“I feel fine now,” he said in a Q&A with the fans on Milan’s official Instagram account. “It’s a month since I have been without pain in my foot. When we resume, I’m ready.

“I hope we can restart the training sessions on May 4 and then resume the championship as soon as possible. I can’t wait to start playing again.”

The midfielder who pointed out Kaka and Ronaldinho as his biggest idols in football, revealed it was an emotional moment when he penned the deal with the Rossoneri.

“I cried when I signed the contract with Milan and I was sure I’d go to the Rossoneri,” he said. “The fans are extraordinary and it’s always emotional to play at San Siro. They appreciate that I always give my best.

“We are Milan and we need to have big ambitions, like Europe. We will give everything to arrive.”
