Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Sportiello is still positive for COVID-19 a month after his initial diagnosis, so remains in quarantine.
The shot-stopper is taking an unusually long time to recover from the illness, even though La Gazzetta dello Sport point out he has no serious symptoms.
It’s reported this is the third time he has undergone a swab, the first discovering his infection on March 20, the second showing negative, but the third positive again.
Sportiello will continue the quarantine in his home in Urgnano, near Bergamo, but it’s not clear when he’ll be able to return to training.
Serie A sides are expected to resume work from May 4, in small groups, after undergoing blood tests, swabs and other intensive physical checks.
