“I will put a table on the central square in Bergamo for 1,000 people and serve everyone pizza, made by me,” was his response.
“Then I’ll throw a party and everyone’s invited.”
As part of the Q&A, the Dutch wing-back was also asked for the best and worst things about playing for Middlesbrough.

When asked if he hadn’t been a football player, what would he have been, De Roon elaborated on the old Peter Crouch joke.
“Like Crouchy once said: ‘A virgin, probably.’ On a serious note, I wanted to be an accountant. Basically the same.”
