Inter are reportedly prepared to fend off any possible suitors by offering Marcelo Brozovic a new deal worth €4.5m a year.

Tuttosport claims the Nerazzurri are trying to sign a new deal with the Croatian midfielder and avoid losing the player due to a release clause of €60m in his current contract.

The 27-year-old has impressed at the Giuseppe Meazza since his arrival from Dinamo Zagreb in January 2015 and has attracted interest from top clubs on the continent.

In October 2018, the defensive midfielder signed a contract worth €3.5m a year until June 2022, but the agreement included a release clause that CEO Beppe Marotta hopes to evict with a bumper deal.

The newspaper writes that Inter are prepared to offer Brozovic a new deal worth €4.5m, tying him up until June 2023.
