Fiorentina flop Alban Lafont could still make them a healthy profit, with reports the goalkeeper on loan to Nantes is wanted to Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old was signed from FC Toulouse for €7m in 2018, but lasted just one season before being loaned back to France for FC Nantes.

He rediscovered his form in Ligue 1, keeping 10 clean sheets in 27 games, and catching the eye of several clubs.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, one of those interested parties is Real Madrid, who see Lafont as a future investment.

Nantes have an option to buy from Fiorentina for €7-8m, but the Viola have a counter-option for €11m and could use that to then sell him on at a profit.

There would be no chance of Lafont remaining at the Stadio Franchi, because Bartlomiej Dragowski is solid in his spot.
