Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto has confirmed that he will extend his contract until 2025 after a season that he regards as ‘the best of my career’.

Despite talk of a return to Sevilla, the 27-year-old says he is ready to commit his future to the Aquile.
“We’re negotiating and I believe I’ll renew until 2025,” he revealed on Instagram.

“This is my best year of my career, I love this team and we’re formidable.
“If this Coronavirus chaos hadn’t happened, [my renewal] would’ve been signed already. I’ll stay here until 2025.”
The Spaniard then discussed his relationship with coach Simone Inzaghi.
“He shows me a lot of affection. I don’t think he knew what my name was when I arrived.”
