During a highly successful campaign, with the Aquile sitting second Serie A after 26 rounds of fixtures, one point behind Juventus, the patron feels the sports centre has played a big part in the rebirth of the club.
“I spent many days until late in the evening to closely monitor the work of our sports centre,” he told Lazio Channel. “We want to reiterate the pride of belonging to these colours.
“We have manged to change the mentality of the players, who now know they’re part of one of the most important clubs, they can choose us because they are convinced that they are part of one of the best clubs, with a modern structure.
“Therefore, they’re agreeing to represent every fan with pride. Talking to the experts, I saw a radical change in the evaluation of Lazio and the club.”
The President added that he wanted to communicate the ‘traditions, history and identity’ of the club through the infrastructure at the Centro sportive di Formello.
“I try to do my best. Our fans, when they are around, must have the pride of belonging. I had the wall of the sports centre redone and in front of the wall I put a large illuminated shield with S.S. Lazio S.p.A. Training Centre.
“I had the gate redone, two eagle wings with their beaks facing the centre of the gate will be exposed. When a player arrives, he will think he has arrived at a great club of traditions, history and identity.
“There are things that serve to make Lazio great and not only for the image, but also in the communication. We want to be the best in every field.”
