Football is back in Europe, as Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland scored the first Bundesliga goal after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Bundesliga returned to the pitch this afternoon, the first major European league to get their fixtures back on track after a two-month lockdown.
With a sense of crushing inevitability, it was Haaland who was first to find the back of the net during Dortmund’s home game against Schalke 04.
The 19-year-old Norwegian took his seasonal tally up to 41 goals in 34 competitive games between RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund.
It was his 13th goal in 12 official appearances in a Dortmund jersey.
