“I don’t see why we can’t wait until the situation is clearer, so why not play in July rather than June?” Prandelli told the Corriere di Brescia newspaper.

“It’s true, football helps you to forget many things over 90 minutes, but I don’t think people passionate about sport necessarily want to see games today.

“I also don’t think I’d be afraid to play if I was in a squad right now, it’s more that all of Italy is still struggling, there are deaths every day. I believe we still need some time.”
