Raiola: 'Juve would've put Haaland in U-23 squad'

Agent Mino Raiola has claimed Erling Braut Haaland didn’t move to Juventus because the Old Lady ‘would have put him in the Under-23 squad’.

In January the Old Lady were among the top clubs chasing the Norwegian youngster’s signature but Braut Haaland ended up at Borussia Dortmund and has scored 13 goals in 12 games for Die Schwarzgelben.

The 19-year-old has taken his seasonal tally up to 41 goals in 34 competitive games between RB Salzburg and BVB and Raiola claims he chose Dortmund over Juventus because of playing time.

“Why Haaland didn’t move to Juventus? They would have put him in the Under-23 squad,” Raiola told La Repubblica.

And due to the great start to life at the Westfalenstadion, the youngster continuously has to answer questions about his own future only a few months since the arrival.

In the deal with the club includes a €75m release clause activated in July 2021, and the Bianconeri will be expected to make another attempt when the possibility presents itself.
