Barcelona was first choice for both the midfielder and Juve, but Arthur Melo is refusing to make the move in exchange.

According to Le Parisien, this has given Paris Saint-Germain a way in and they contacted Pjanic’s entourage via videocall this week.

They are hoping to agree personal terms and then work out a deal that can suit Juventus, probably including Leandro Paredes going the other way.

Manchester United are another alternative, if Paul Pogba were to make the move back to Turin.

Pjanic effectively started his career in France with FC Metz in 2004, moving on to Olympique Lyonnais in 2008.

He left Ligue 1 in 2011 for Roma, then completed a €32m transfer to Juventus in the summer of 2016.
