Milan are reportedly making Alessio Romagnoli wait for a new deal at San Siro, currently not prioritising extending with the captain.

Tuttosport claims the Diavolo have decided to postpone the contract talks with their club captain, as his current deal expires in June 2022.

But the newspaper points out that the Rossoneri will have to sit down with the centre-half soon, if they are to avoid a similar scenario to the one of Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The Italy goalkeeper’s contract expires in June 2021 and the club has yet to agree new terms with the talented shot stopper, constantly linked with a move away from Milan.

Romagnoli, who has so far been an ever-present in Serie A 2019-20, was expected to extend his current deal at San Siro upon the return to Milanello, but Tuttosport reveals that the club has postponed the talks with the 25-year-old.
