French newspaper Le Parisien claims PSG are leaving Kalidou Koulibaly to Manchester United, as they feel Napoli’s asking price is excessive.
The defender is expected to leave the Stadio San Paolo this summer, as at the age of 29, it’s one of the last opportunities for the club to truly cash in on their most valuable player.
Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Newcastle United were also linked, but the favourites were always Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United.
According to Le Parisien, the Ligue 1 giants have pulled out and are focusing on other targets, as they believe the €70m asking price is excessive.
This is already a huge discount, considering Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis confessed he turned down around €100m last season.
Manchester United would therefore have the advantage in the race for the Senegal international centre-back.
