Undersecretary for Health Sandra Zampa assures the Government ‘is going in the right direction’ to restart the Serie A season. ‘We’ll soon have comforting news for fans.’
A decision will be made on if and when the campaign can resume after a meeting on May 28 between Minister for Sport Vincenzo Spadafora, the FIGC and Lega Serie A.
“I believe we are going in the right direction, following the path set by Germany, and Minister Spadafora feels the same way,” Zampa told Radio Capital.
“I found myself dealing with football because it all had to go through the Ministry of Health, but I worked hard on it and I think we’ll soon have comforting news for football fans.”
It’s likely the Serie A fixtures will resume from June 13 or 20, although a new medical protocol has to be agreed for that phase of the recovery.
A medical protocol was finally agreed this week for group training.
