Daniel Fuzato’s agent has warned Roma that the goalkeeper will not tolerate another season of playing as third choice.
Fuzato joined Roma on a free transfer from Palmeiras in the summer of 2018 but has yet to make a competitive appearance for the Giallorossi.
It comes despite him already winning a Brazil call-up, and Diego Tavano made it clear he was prepared to take his client away from the Olimpico.
“He’s highly rated in Brazil,” he told Tele Radio Stereo.
“There was great scouting work done. His contract with Palmeiras was about to expire Roma managed to grab themselves a talented player.
“His first year served as an apprenticeship, which has then extended into this season. The Giallorossi continue to believe a lot in the player.
“The project with Daniel goes on and he’s a fantastic lad, but he won’t be on the bench for another season as third choice, that’s for sure.”
Tavano was then asked whether he would advise the 22-year-old to stay in Italy.
“No, goalkeeper is a unique position. Where he plays doesn’t matter. If he went to Portugal, he’d play against very famous clubs like Porto and Benfica.
“The important thing is that he plays.”
