Gabriele Oriali is no longer acting as team manager of the Italy national team, as he will now dedicate himself solely to his job at Inter.
The FIGC confirmed that Oriali had terminated his contract early, as it was due to expire on July 15, after Euro 2020.
Seeing as the tournament has been moved to next summer due to the coronavirus pandemic, Oriali decided his services were no longer needed.
As part of the cut-off, Oriali has also agreed to forego outstanding wages from the Italy role, leaving it to “those who need it more,” said FIGC President Gabriele Gravina.
Oriali had for this season been working in a dual role, as he is also in Inter coach Antonio Conte’s staff.
