Chelsea have waived their €8m buyback clause for Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga, who has emerged as a target for Juventus.

Boga joined Sassuolo on a permanent deal worth around €5.5m two years ago, but Chelsea retained an option to repurchase the Ivorian at a later date.

Now, Gianluca Di Marzio’s website claims he is now a Sassuolo player fully after the Blues agreed to give up their option – quoted to be set at just €8m – in exchange for first option on the player.

Now, Gianluca Di Marzio’s website claims he is now a Sassuolo player fully after the Blues agreed to give up their option – quoted to be set at just €8m – in exchange for first option on the player.

However, they are unlikely to bring him back, with Napoli widely thought to be in pole position to sign him this summer.

On the other hand, they may have to splash out as Di Marzio writes ‘€30m may not be enough’ to take him away from Mapei Stadium.

In addition, the journalist’s colleagues at Sky Sport Italia are that reporting Juve have entered the fray for the 24-year-old.

The Bianconeri have an excellent relationship with Sassuolo and, as per the broadcaster, are ‘ready’ to snatch him as a replacement for Douglas Costa.

To combat that, Napoli would have already prepared an opening offer in the region of €20-25m for the ex-France Under-21 international.
