Bologna say they ‘suspect’ an unnamed member of their first team staff has contracted coronavirus.

A statement on Bologna’s official website adds the squad ‘will be kept in an isolated training retreat’ if the person in question ultimately tests positve.

“The latest round of tests underwent by the team group revealed a case of suspected positivity to COVID-19 with regards to a staff member,” it read.

“The latest round of tests underwent by the team group revealed a case of suspected positivity to COVID-19 with regards to a staff member,” it read.

“Pending further analysis, the team will resume training individually and at different times tomorrow as a precaution, without the use of common rooms.

“If positivity is confirmed, the team group will be kept in an isolated training retreat.”

As per the new medical protocol, if a member of the staff or players is positive for COVID-19, the entire group will be kept in a training retreat for two weeks, but will be allowed to continue training.

The person who is positive will be isolated.
