The former Italy Under-20 international has turned 28 and the 19 games in Serie A has made him excited about the future at Lecce.

Falco spent five seasons with five different club after coming through the academy at the Salentini before moving to Bologna on a permanent deal in January 2016.

Then he went immediately to Cesena on loan and spells at Bevenento, Perugia and Pescara followed before Lecce eventually brought him back to the Via del Mare.

This term, Falco has contributed three goals and three assists in the top tier of Italian football and his current deal with the Giallorossi expires in June 2022.

“I’m happy to have done well in Serie A after many spells on loan and after many sacrifices,” he told Tuttocalciopuglia.com.

“I deserved all this through hard work and, I assure you, it was not easy at all. I’m proud of everything I’m doing but I want more.

“I hope that the rest of the season and the next one will lead me to the goals that I dreamed of since I was a child.”

Lecce are currently preparing to fight for survival in Serie A, as they sit third to bottom, on par with Genoa at 17th.
