Napoli have reportedly rejected the Juventus approach for Arkadiusz Milik and could even give Premier League clubs a discount on the €50m asking price.

Maurizio Sarri would relish the opportunity to work with the Poland international again in Turin, while Milik is refusing to sign a new contract for the deal that expires in June 2021.

According to La Repubblica newspaper, President Aurelio De Laurentiis is eager not to reinforce a direct rival and will do everything possible to stall Milik’s transfer to Juventus.

He’d even be prepared to accept less money in order to sell the forward abroad, with English clubs benefiting from a discount on the €50m price-tag.

As for Milik, he wants almost €5m per season in wages, more than doubling his current Napoli salary.

The centre-forward has been linked with Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, but La Repubblica cite Arsenal as the main contenders.

The 26-year-old has scored 12 goals in 22 competitive games for Napoli this season, including three in four Champions League matches.
