Genoa have decided to take up their €10m option to buy Adama Soumaoro from Lille, but he could be on the move again towards Napoli.
The centre-back arrived on loan in January and made an immediate impact at Marassi, including one goal in four Serie A appearances before the lockdown.
According to Il Secolo XIX newspaper, Genoa have already decided they will activate the €10m option to buy at the end of the season.
They are confident not only is the defender worth it, but they can also make a quick profit by immediately selling him on to another club.
Napoli have already shown interest in Soumaoro, who would be an ideal replacement if Kalidou Koulibaly moves on this summer.
He turns 28 later this month and spent his entire career before now at Lille.
