The Spanish League will resume in 10 days, with Barcelona preparing to face Mallorca on June 13 and the Blaugrana shot stopper is confident ahead of the resumption.

The Germany international has been one of the protagonists at Camp Nou in 2019-20 but has still been linked with a move away from the club, something he insists won’t happen this summer.

“It’s not possible that I leave Barcelona this summer. There has already been the first meeting between my agent and the club,” he told Kicker. “Then this situation with the coronavirus emerged and we had no time to talk about the contract.

“At a time when a lot of people are worried about their lives, we have decided to postpone it. I feel well at Barcelona, also because my family feels well here.”

Ter Stegen then warned their opponents, including Napoli, that the Blaugrana are ready to make the most of their opportunity in the Champions League this term.

“Physically, we have rarely been at this level, but Real Madrid will certainly not give us anything [in the League],” the shot stopper confessed. “Regarding the Champions League, we have an opportunity to go through and we want to take advantage of that.

“The new football will obviously be different. A game without fans is not that beautiful, but the ball will roll again and that’s what we want.
