The clubs also agreed to adopt the new rule allowing for five substitutions during these unusual summer conditions.

There is one outstanding fixture left, between Ascoli and Cremonese, so that will open up the proceedings on June 17.

The full run of games begins with Week 29 from the weekend of June 21.

There will be three midweek rounds, played on June 30, July 14 and July 28.

The regular season should conclude on August 1, then promotion play-offs can begin from August 4 to the Final on August 20.

As for the relegation play-outs, those are set to be on August 7 and 14.

However, the precise kick-off times have not yet been confirmed.
