Lazio have launched an initiative to raise funds for charity and give fans the chance to make their presence felt by putting their images on cardboard cut-outs at the Stadio Olimpico.
The campaign is called ‘Tu non sarai mai sola’ (You’ll never be alone), with two different benefits stemming from the collaboration.
On the one hand, it’ll allow the fans to still be present when games are played behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The supporters can send in their photograph and the club will create a cardboard cut-out 75x45cm to fill a seat at the Stadio Olimpico.
This will be for the rest of the season and, if needed, in the 2020-21 campaign too.
Once the fans are allowed back in, they will be given the cut-out with captain Senad Lulic’s signature.
The supporters will also be able to raise funds for charity, specifically the Italian Red Cross.
The first five cut-outs were already placed on their seats as part of the launch campaign, including actress and model Anna Falchi, who decided to pose for the image wearing a Lazio scarf and nothing else.
Also included were violinist Andrea Casta, Italian Red Cross President Francesco Rocca, singer Briga, bassist Jacopo Mastrangelo and comedian Enrico Montesano.
