Lazio chief medic Ivo Pulcini has claimed Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will ‘be ready for the restart of the championship’ against Atalanta on June 24.
Yesterday, reports claimed Lazio midfielder Milinkovic-Savic was set for an MRI scan to determine the extent of a knee injury suffered in training.
Later it was revealed to be just a knock, but Italian media still claimed he could struggle to be back in time for the first match after the long break.
The chief medic of the Aquile has now confirmed that the Serbian is in good health and joked that with the great medical staff in place at Lazio, he would definitely be ready for the trip to Bergamo.
“He’s doing great, I saw him this morning,” he told Radio Punto Nuovo. “You journalists deserve an applause, but someone sometimes writes too much.
“The mood is so high among the players that there are also problems of small overloads that may occur in this period.
“With a medical staff like ours, Milinkovic will be ready for the restart of the championship.”
