PSG, Manchester City and Real Madrid want Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer, but it’s reported the €50m release clause is only valid from 2021.
Multiple sources over the last few days have pointed to a growing list of clubs who are ready to splash out for the Algeria international.
Eyebrows were raised when it emerged there is a €50m release clause as part of his contract.
However, Calciomercato.com point out there are some details that have gone unnoticed about the agreement.
The first is that the €50m release clause can only be activated from June 2021 and not this summer.
Another issue is that the money must all be paid upfront in one instalment, so cannot be stretched out over a period of time.
The Rossoneri spent €16m to sign Bennacer from Empoli at the end of last season.
