Torino have not given up on their pursuit of former Milan coach Marco Giampaolo, even after appointing Moreno Longo.

Although he was sacked in October after just seven games in charge of the Rossoneri, Giampaolo is not allowed to take on another Serie A job during the same season.

He can be lined up for next term, especially with such a small gap between campaigns due to the COVID-19 pandemic and three-month pause.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Radio Rossonera, Torino are eager to secure Giampaolo for their new project.

His contract with Milan runs to June 2021 and would have to be terminated by mutual consent first.

Torino fired Walter Mazzarri at the start of February and Longo has only managed three games before the lockdown.
