Milan: Everton lead Silva race?

Everton have already opened talks to sign Milan-linked Thiago Silva on a free transfer, it is reported.

Silva will leave Paris Saint-Germain once the Champions League concludes this summer, his departure confirmed by sporting director Leonardo yesterday.

Milan were tipped to make a move for their former defender, but transfer expert Nicolo Schira warns Everton have taken an early lead.

As per Schira, the presence of Carlo Ancelotti in the Toffees’ dugout ‘could be decisive’ to beat off the likes of the Rossoneri.

Despite turning 36 in September, the Brazilian has played 30 times for PSG this season, winning his seventh Ligue 1 title.
