The next Serie A season could start on September 12, while the Primavera campaign ends here and loan deals for 2019-20 are set to be extended.
Ahead of the Lega Serie A assembly on Thursday, the Lega Council was held this afternoon as a dress rehearsal.
As per Sky Sport Italia, a start date of September 12 for the 20-21 campaign was drafted by clubs.
Before it can be made official, UEFA must work out the dates for its competitions first.
On the topic of loan deals that are due to expire on June 30, the broadcaster reports there was a general consensus to extend them until August 30, when the FIGC considers this season to be over.
However, that would only apply to domestic loans so separate agreements will be needed for Serie A players on loan from/at foreign clubs.
Finally, the decision was taken to terminate Campionato Primavera 1 for the highest-ranking Under-19 sides in Italy with immediate effect.
Atalanta were three points clear at the top before the coronavirus lockdown, but they will not be assigned the Scudetto as the league had yet to enter its final stages.
