Chelsea winger Pedro is reportedly all set to join Roma after agreeing a two-year contract with the club.

Pedro was thought to have sparked an internal conflict at Roma between President James Pallotta and sporting director Gianluca Petrachi.

However, Corriere dello Sport assures he will put pen to paper on a contract until 2022 worth €3.5m a season.

However, Corriere dello Sport assures he will put pen to paper on a contract until 2022 worth €3.5m a season.

Furthermore, coach Paulo Fonseca is said to have called the Spaniard personally, telling him his club will respect its part of the deal.

Although he turns 33 next month, the newspaper explains Pedro’s versatility – which allows him to play anywhere across the front line – greatly appealed to Fonseca.

He has won a Premier League title, an FA Cup and the Europa League with Chelsea and also helped Barcelona win three Champions Leagues.

The attacker will arrive on a free transfer, with his contract at Stamford Bridge expiring at the end of this season.
