“Football belongs to the people and the fans,” Longo told Torino Channel before the game.

“It’ll be sad to see the stands empty. We know our fans are an added value for us, it’s a shame they won’t be by our side.

“Only by playing will we become match sharp. There will be times when our heads will count for more than our legs.

“When we don’t have the spring in our step, we’ll have to stay compact and be very careful.

“We’ve prepared with a three and four at the back. We’ll have to be chameleon-like to have more solutions from here until the end of the season.”

Belotti has been the side’s undisputed lone striker for several seasons, which has come at the expense of a potential partnership with Zaza.

“They’re two very important players and they’re available to us: I think they can play from the first minute or I can bring one on during the game.

“We’ll make more assessments in these last few hours of build-up, but I already know what I’ll do.”
