Juventus continue discussions with Chelsea, as while Miralem Pjanic won’t swap places with Jorginho, the Bianconeri are still targeting Emerson Palmieri.

According to Calciomercato.com and SunSport, the Premier League side turned down the option of a player exchange for Jorginho, as they would prefer to receive €40-50m in cash.

There is more leeway when it comes to full-back Emerson, as Tuttosport point out he is not a regular in Frank Lampard’s team and could therefore be allowed to leave this summer.

There could be the proposal of an exchange involving Mattia De Sciglio, who can play on the left or right, but is prone to injury problems.

Inter had also targeted Emerson, but seem to have turned their focus more towards Barcelona’s 23-year-old Junior Firpo instead.
