After Thiago Silva, Fiorentina have reportedly now approached Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a free agent when his Milan contract expires.
The Viola are eager to replicate the positive impact had on the squad and fans by Franck Ribery, aiming to bring in another veteran at a relatively low cost.
Sky Sport Italia had already stated this week that Fiorentina offered Thiago Silva a different Serie A destination, as his contract with PSG will not be renewed.
Now La Nazione newspaper suggests the Tuscans have also contacted Ibrahimovic and agent Mino Raiola to ask about his availability.
His contract with Milan expires at the end of the season and the Swede is expected to go back to his homeland with Hammarby, the club he co-owns.
However, the opportunity to play with Ribery in the Viola jersey could well intrigue him.
