Lopez: 'If Brescia play like Zeman...'

Brescia coach Diego Lopez leaves Mario Balotelli out of the trip to Fiorentina and warns they’ll ‘get relegated straight away’ if they try to play like Zdenek Zeman.

It kicks off at the Stadio Franchi on Monday at 18.30 UK time (17.30 GMT), click here for a match preview.

Sandro Tonali is available again after a slight knock in the midweek 2-0 friendly defeat to Udinese, but rebel striker Balotelli is again nowhere to be seen.

“We need 35-36 points to secure Serie A safety rather than 40, in my opinion,” said Lopez in his press conference.

“There are plenty of points up for grabs, but we have to focus on Fiorentina first and foremost. With a match every three games, we’ve got to rotate the squad, but also take it one game at a time.

“We know the situation is difficulty, but we have to keep working hard and the results will come.”

Brescia are currently propping up the Serie A table on just 16 points from 26 rounds, a good 10 adrift of safety.

Considering how desperate they are to win, Lopez was asked if Brescia will take a Zeman-style approach to all-attack football.

“What does that mean, playing like Zeman? That means getting relegated straight away. We’re gambling with everything here, we can’t just throw players on and hope for the best.”

Andrea Cistana, Dimitri Bisoli, Jhon Chancellor and Enrico Alfonso are all out of action, as well as Balotelli.

Brescia squad for Fiorentina: Joronen, Sabelli, Mateju, Tonali, Gastaldello, Spalek, Zmrhal, Donnarumma, Torregrossa, Andrenacci, Ghezzi, Aye, Mangraviti, Skrabb, Viviani, Martella, Dessena, Romulo, Semprini, Bjarnason, Papetti
