Manuel Pucciarelli has hit the ground running at Pescara and claimed he still doesn’t know why he wasn't given a chance at Chievo Verona.
In January, the 29-year-old moved to Pescara on loan and has contributed three goals in his nine games so far.
“I can’t speak about extending my contract, only the President can decide that, but there was something in January, talk of more important things than only a loan deal,” he told Rete8.
“We have now resumed play and we will talk about it later.”
The former Empoli player admitted he could have moved to Lecce, but was held back by Chievo, who hadn’t paid the full amount to sign him on a permanent deal from the Azzurri.
“I don’t know what happened at Chievo the last two and a half years. I asked myself many times, but they never gave me an explanation.
“I don’t want to talk badly about people or situations, but I didn’t have a place there, I didn’t feel important and I asked to move already last year.
“Despite the requests, including an offer from Lecce who went to Serie A, I couldn’t leave. Chievo had still not paid Empoli, but then this year, I spoke to the coach, who also seemed annoyed to send me away.
“But I didn’t play much and in the end, I managed to arrive here.”
Pescara are currently 11th in Serie B and beat Juve Stabia 3-1 in their first game after the break. On Friday they face Pisa away and currently sit five points above play-out.
