Udinese have announced that Rolando Mandragora suffered a double knee injury against Torino last night, rupturing his ACL and meniscus.
A medical report released by Udinese reads: “Udinese Calcio announce that Rolando Mandragora has suffered, as shown by instrumental tests carried out today, a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and external meniscus in his right knee.
“The player will have a referral in Rome, at Villa Stuart clinic, with Professor Mariani to define the process for his recovery.
“Udinese, deeply sorry for the incident and knowing Rolando’s warrior spirit well, wish him a speedy recovery.”
Mandragora will certainly miss the rest of this season and may not return until the start of 2021, depending on the severity of his tears.
Juventus, who have a €26m option to buy back the midfielder this summer, were reportedly hoping to trade him for Roma’s Bryan Cristante.
