Cagliari defender Fabio Pisacane fractured two ribs in the match against SPAL and will be out for the next games.
The 34-year-old has been one of the most consistent performers at the Sardegna Arena in recent weeks but came battered from the match against the Biancazzurri.
Cagliari won the match 1-0 but lost one of their regulars as the club confirmed on their website that the centre-back will be out for the foreseeable future with two broken ribs.
“The instrumental tests that the player Fabio Pisacane underwent this afternoon, as he left the pitch in the 27th minute of SPAL-Cagliari, have revealed fractures in two ribs.
“The defender must rest and undergo specific therapies by the Rossoblu’s medical staff.”
Cagliari continue against Torino at home on Saturday.
