Torino have officially extended Cristian Ansaldi, Lorenzo De Silvestri, Samir Ujkani and coach Moreno Longo’s contracts until August 31.
The three players previous deals expired on June 30 and have agreed to extend for the next two months, to help the Granata conclude the season in the best possible way.
Their futures are still uncertain and the same goes for coach Longo, picked up his first win against Udinese on Tuesday, having struggled to turn things around since replacing Walter Mazzarri at the Grande Torino.
However, he has agreed a new contract to remain out the season but will has some convincing to do during the run-in in order to earn a long-term deal.
“Torino Football Club are pleased to announce the agreement with coach Moreno Longo and his technical staff, and with the players Cristian Ansaldi, Lorenzo De Silvestri and Samir Ujkani for the extensions of their contracts – expiring on June 30 – until August 31,” read the official statement.
Torino have picked up four points in two games after the interruption and sit 14th in the table after having suffered a losing streak of seven games, including the Coppa Italia loss to Milan in January.
