“I’ve never spoken of a pecking order between Cragno and Olsen,” Zenga said at a press conference, in response to a question on who will play in goal.

“I always talk to my players. They knew they’d take turns this week. Cragno will play tomorrow

“We’re on a tour de force, it’s not a normal season and so I have to protect the club’s assets.

Similarly we have Rafael and Ciocci, who are also very good goalkeepers.

“We must no longer think about starters and reserves. With five subs, everyone is always involved.

“No-one can play 13 games in 40 days. In the past, missing 10 days meant missing a game. Now it means missing four.

“There’s no advantage in playing at home behind closed doors, the pitch factor is set to zero.”

However, the coach did highlight one surprising benefit brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.

“The only thing now is that we don’t have to catch planes anymore.

“In these five days, we’ve seen a totally different kind of football to the one we’re used to.

“None of us were used to playing in the summer and at these times. We must be able to reset ourselves immediately after games, staying calm and at ease mentally.”
