Simon Kjaer says he is living the ‘dream’ at Milan after ‘years of chasing it’ and has ‘never seen someone with as much hunger’ as Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Kjaer struggled for game time at Atalanta in the first half of the season and joined Milan in January, going on to establish himself as Alessio Romagnoli’s default centre-back partner.
“The knee’s fine, I feel better with each day,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“The knee’s fine, I feel better with each day,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“Pioli gave me confidence, putting me on the pitch. He knew I had so much experience and let me play, I don’t need anything else. Then, in football, things can go better or worse.
“Football’s like this, coach Gasperini made a decision and told me to my face. Then I can agree with it or not, but I respect him because he was straight with me.
“Then I had the chance to join Milan. It’s a dream come true after chasing it for several years.”
The 31-year-old was not the only player to sign for the Rossoneri during the winter as Ibrahimovic also returned.
“Now I understand why Zlatan’s won so much. I’ve never seen someone with so much hunger, he’s a champion who only wants to win. For him, nothing else matters.
“He can’t stay away, he’s doing everything he can to come back.”
Kjaer is preparing to face former club Roma on Sunday, and he expressed his emotions on the encounter.
“Roma are night and day from when I played for them. They’re a great team, but these are the big games that stimulate me the most. We must do our best.
“You get adrenaline from games like these. On Sunday it’ll be so hot and the stadium will be empty: it’ll be a new experience, but we’re ready, that’s for certain.”
