Borussia Dortmund have benched Achraf Hakimi for their final Bundesliga game, amidst speculation that a €45m move to Inter is imminent.
Inter are currently ironing out the last remaining details of their swoop for Hakimi, which could rise to €45m with bonuses.
As expected, the Real Madrid loanee has been dropped from Dortmund’s starting XI against Hoffenheim.
Although BVB have nothing left to play for, with second place in the Bundesliga assured, it may be that the full-back is preserved for his switch to the Nerazzurri.
The Beneamata will not be able to play him until next season, given the summer transfer window in Italy does not reopen until September 1.
