Line-ups: Milan v Roma

Ante Rebic and Hakan Calhanoglu again lead the line for Milan against Roma’s Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in this head-to-head for Europa League places.

It kicks off at San Siro at 16.15 UK time (15.15 GMT), you can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from today’s six Serie A games on the LIVEBLOG.

These teams had hoped to be fighting for the top four rather than seven when the season began, but it’s proving to be yet another campaign of reconstruction for the troubled clubs.

Milan were unlucky to lose the Coppa Italia semi-final to Juventus on away goals, but crushed Lecce 4-1 last week to confirm their strong post-lockdown form.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Leo Duarte and Mateo Musacchio are still out of action, so Rebic again leads the more mobile attack with support from Samu Castillejo, Hakan Calhanoglu and Giacomo Bonaventura.

Simon Kjaer was a major doubt after an injury against Lecce, but he has recovered in time to partner ex-Roma defender Alessio Romagnoli.

Roma’s first game back for over three months was a hard-fought 2-1 win over Sampdoria, as Edin Dzeko’s pair of volleys had to come to the rescue following a defensive howler.

Pau Lopez and Nicolò Zaniolo are injured, with Davide Santon, Juan Jesus and Mert Cetin not in coach Paulo Fonseca’s plans.

He does make changes, bringing in Leonardo Spinazzola, Bryan Cristante, Gianluca Mancini, Justin Kluivert and Lorenzo Pellegrini to work with Mkhitaryan and Dzeko.

Milan: G Donnarumma; Conti, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Bonaventura; Rebic

Roma: Mirante; Zappacosta, Smalling, Mancini, Spinazzola; Veretout, Cristante; Kluivert, Pellegrini, Mkhitaryan; Dzeko
