Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic admitted he wanted to bring match-winner Riccardo Orsolini off the pitch after the first half against Sampdoria.
The Rossoblu coach spoke to Sky Sport Italia after the 2-1 win against the Blucerchiati and said Orsolini, who scored the visitors second goal of the night, was lucky to not have a competitor on the bench.
“If I had someone on the bench, I would have substituted him at the end for the first half,” Mihajlovic told the broadcaster. “I was not enjoying it.
“He stayed on the pitch and scored. The commitment was there, but that’s the least. I expect more from him. His play, passing, he doesn’t risk what he has to risk.
“If he matures, he can become a wonderful player, the same goes for [Musa] Barrow. We have a young and good team, now let’s see what happens in these last games.
“I’m lucky to have this group.”
Bologna sit 11th in Serie A after 28 games and are currently one point behind Cagliari in the top half of the table.
